Customers have quite a choice when it comes to good budget separates. NAD and Denon have both launched new amplifiers and CD players recently. Now, Marantz has done the same with its new 6003 products (available in black or silver-gold finishes).
The Marantz PM6003 amplifier isn't short of connections - amongst them is an input for a turntable and inputs/outputs for two recorders. As for speaker sockets, there are high-quality terminals for two pairs of speakers which can be powered independently or together. Power output is 45 watts per channel.
The Marantz CD6003 CD player offers support for MP3 and WMA files, and displays CD Text (when playing applicable discs). It also features a USB socket and has optical and coaxial outputs. The front panel even sports a headphone socket with volume control so there's no need to switch an amp on when listening to headphones.
As you'll gather, both products are packed with features. They also come with remote controls and (most importantly) offer great sound quality. Reliability shouldn't be an issue either as the build quality is incredible for such attractively priced products (each costs just under £300). These items are excellent value for money and are now available at Hi-Fi Stereo. |
